Hear ye Hear ye – We are in the Lifestyle

Coming out with friends in the lifestyle is one thing that we have been very careful on how we approach it.  Majority of our friends would probably not fully understand our decision.  Mainly because of their beliefs or personalities.  Not to say that we wouldn’t tell if them if they asked, but we choose when and who should know.  Currently there are probably a handful of my friends that know and a few of my wife’s friends.

Why I bring this up is because it is the yearly party that I have with my long time high school friend tonight.  When we told him we clearly stated not to tell anyone else.  That really didn’t happen and more of my friends know as I have found out.  Having this information passed around like today’s news is frustrating.  We are not hiding what we do but we also want to control who knows so that there is no fallout.  We have a few long time couples that we know that wouldn’t be able to handle it.  This is the primary reason why we want to ensure we control who knows.  We do not want to alienate friends because of this.

We noticed this as a point of concern when we had a party recently with a mixture of vanilla and lifestyle friends together.  One of the vanilla couples had some reservations.  More the husband since when most people hear about the lifestyle they think we just get into a room, get naked and we just fuck.  It is not like that, although that would be fun, and wouldn’t hold any arguments from my wife.  We are no different from before we opened up to this.  We just have alternative options when the lights go out later in the night.

The other major thing about friends knowing is that we don’t have to hide it.  Talking and flirting opening is something that can be done with no judgement.  Nothing is more humorous as getting your cock out and a woman sucking it in front of your friends.  Okay, it is also hot to watch too.  With friends not knowing you have to be more reserved and be aware of what you are saying.  So in some vanilla parties it can be frustrating.  Not being able to act on your thoughts and impulses can be hard to do, and with alcohol makes it more dangerous.  I have been in a few situations over past few years that has gotten me into some awkward positions.  Of course you are not trying cause problems but things can be taken the wrong way and get blown out of proportion.

So tonight’s party will be a mixture of guy friends that a few know.  Will I tell anyone else tonight about my lifestyle?  Well that really depends on how it goes and if the conversation goes in that direction.  I have no issues telling my friends but I need to make sure that they can handle the news.  We have been fortunate with the few people that we have told that there has been no judgement.  Some confusion, questions and long discussions but no judgement.

That goes without saying that more people may know after this weekend.  Does it worry me?  No.  I will ensure that both my wife and myself are talking and make sure that we agree on it.  Although my wife won’t be there tomorrow night at the next party(yes lots of drinking for two days) it might be a quick text along with what I plan to do.  One thing that I am a bit nervous about is tomorrow night.  I will be going back to home territory for another party.  This means that I could find some old skeletons in my closet and I am not sure how I will deal with that.  I have the freedom to do what I want but some of those skeletons are pretty dark.  And with alcohol I can get pretty loose with my inhibitions almost gone.  I still have control and respect but I do have I don’t give a fuck attitude.

I will be having another chat tonight regarding my one friend that he has no right to reveal what we do.  I am glad he is not bothered by it but I do not want him to think it is an open topic to tell anyone.  Control of this information is important and as much as I want to shout it out most days I know that it is not socially accepted.  As I mentioned above perception of the lifestyle is not accurate.  We are not here to make people uncomfortable of us.  We are no different from before.  Just have the option to fuck other woman beside my wife.  Nothing wrong with that right?
