Get Social out there

Social media is one of the biggest drivers of news and information currently out there now.  You can find out up to the minute information before even the news outlets report it.  It also allows information to spread quickly.  

This can be a great source of getting something out there to the masses.  It can also be the complete opposite if you post something that you don’t want some to read or see.

I am on all the social sites that I feel are relative.  Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and Linkedin are where I socialize with friends, family and co-workers.  Obviously I am not having my lifestyle on all of the sites since it would basically out me to everyone.  So I have my traditional vanilla accounts, non lifestyle, on all the sites with my naughty accounts tucked away on a few other other sites.  I uses alias with another email address so it does link me to anyone (most sites match emails to share new found friends).  I primarily use twitter, just cause I only really need it for interaction.  Plus the other infamous sites seems to lock down nudity and R rated content.

The primary reason we went on to twitter, my wife started first, was because we needed to vent.  We have all had drama in our lives, but with the lifestyle you really can’t go to facebook or google+ and say anything.  So she started her twitter account and I followed not more than a couple days later.  What we didn’t realize is how much sex is on twitter.  We stumbled upon this by accident and after two years now we have a strong twitter family of friends.  We laugh, we cry, we share all and enjoy the time we have sitting miles apart on twitter.

Not to say that I wouldn’t love to be physical with our twitter family if opportunity arose.  Wouldn’t argue at all, but unfortunately we only see a few of the couples since they are within a moderate driving distance.  We hope to meet everyone at some point.  We have become a fairly close group of friends.  Just a matter of timing.

Twitter allows you to share up to a 140 characters at a time.  Makes for some creative ways to write things.  Pictures and videos can also be shared.  The one critical step to ensure that you don’t get blocked or ban is to review your settings.  Make sure you set the mark media that is sensitive material is checked.  If you use any third party pictures storage make sure you review their policies around adult material.  Once you have this in place than you should be good to go.

We stumbled, or more Krystalla3 stumbled, to the wild side of twitter.  I got sucked in pretty quick as well.  We had no idea that there was a dark side to twitter.  This allowed us to interact, share, and talk to like mind couples and people.  It was enlightening to have such open conversations with people on a public forum.  And totally free!!!!

Hashtags are the easiest way to find content and people.  Facebook has started to use them as well, but the concept is simple.  You place a ‘#’ in front of the word you want to search for.  Think of it like tagging a tweet with a key word.  Example that I can easily think of is #tittytuesday.  Yes, they have a weekly daily hashtag.  I am not going to go into them (although that could be another blog entry).  Anyways, search for the hashtag and you will get a lot of interesting results.

Most pictures on twitter are studio quality photos, other promote sex sites or cam chats and than just amateur just post pics.  You will have to sort through all of the volume of who to follow.  Yes you can follow people so that you can have them in your feed (like notification list but it shows everything).  You can also have lists that you can have your special followers on too.  Makes a isolated group of followers, like close friends, into a contained list.  For me it works well since I follow a lot (need to do a clean up) and my close friends can get lost in the flood of tweets.

You can also private message some one with the Direct Message feature.  The problem is that it is still only 140 characters.  If you need to chat a lot would be easier to use a proper chat program like hangout, skype, or telegram.  It does work for the short private message.  I just prefer if I am chatting a lot then move to a proper program.  Makes it easier for those long rants, or long sexy chats that I sometimes do.

So there you have a quick overview of twitter.  There are other features that you can explore as well.  Make you account private so only your approval allows followers to see what you post.  Retweeting, replying, and favorites are how you interact and it is pretty straightforward just make sure to stay within the 140 characters.  And if you have a question just ask on twitter, you will bound to have a helping hand walk you through it.

As for the other social sites you can review those on your own but remember that nudity is not really accepted on those other sites.  Twitter by far seems to be the most common and easiest form to interact and is a great way to meet new and interesting people.  The ones I have met so far have entertained me more than enough on some evenings.  Limited to 140 characters is sometimes a pain but it does make some people get creative.
