Connection is harder to find

If you haven’t seen my earlier posts regarding me searching again for new meat then you can review here and here.  It has been an interesting challenge and I need to provide an update as to how it is going.  The short answer is painful.

The girl that I started to talk to was going well the first day.  Although things started to get a bit weird when questions were directed to me on how I treat a woman.  It went further and after I answered those questions I felt that there was more to her back story.  Ironically that was just before my weekend away so I advised her that I won’t be around for the weekend.  She understood, and considering that it was only a few days, I haven’t heard from her since.

I was going to follow up with her a few days after but Lexxi made a point of saying that she didn’t text either.  So I have let it go, since if she really wanted to continue she would have also followed up as well.  On to the next adventure.  Which started by chance, and so far it has been very slow progression.

The new girl I have been talking too has been more normal.  Nothing really out of the ordinary although having her talk is starting to get to me since I usually get one word answers.  For those that know me, I really do not want to carry the conversation, you get out what you put into it.  If you don’t want to talk then just tell me.  Really just want to see where it could go and if the other person doesn’t engage then what do you do?

So I will probably ask her if she likes to text, and if not then ask her out for a coffee.  Guess I will go back to my younger days and actually meet someone in person then getting to know them over texting.  Technology has become second nature to me, but for a lot of people it is still some kind of weird magic.  Hopefully I can get this one to engage in conversation, or it could end up like the other one which went no where.
